JOB TITLE: Human Resources Manager
  • This position reports to the Plant Manager with additional support from Corporate.
  • HR Generalist responsibilities include:
    • Lead training initiatives and needs assessments.
    • Talent Acquisition Leverage talent system in succession management.
    • Foster cross training and rotational assignments.
    • Facilitate the performance management program - develop HR Staff and work with managers on developing their staff.
    • Facilitate safety and workers compensation programs.
    • Compliance/Affirmative Action Plan communication.
    • Manage employee relations.
    • Local administration of employee benefits programs.
    • Develop/execute communication plan to disseminate information to plant employees.
    • Ensure accurate and timely records processing (payroll and other HRIS information).
    • Maintain positive labor relations.
    • Manage budget for HR department.
    • Lead human resource team for location.
    • Involvement in Operational efficiency leadership (Lean, Six Sigma) and other continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Bachelors degree required. Masters degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years professional level human resources experience, including managerial experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Must have union background.
  • Relationship skills and influencing abilities.
  • Strong leadership skills and results orientation.
  • History of partnering to develop constructive solutions to business challenges.
